The devastation the family of Nathan Hubbard is feeling is really unimagineable. Jeff and Peggy Hubbard are in seclusion; mourning now a second son, 21 year old Nathan Hubbard. Wednesday night, family members found out Nathan’s older brother, Jason, was on the same mission with his younger brother- when the helicopter Nathan was on went down.

Family spokesperson Tim Rolen says, “He was in another helicopter on the same mission. The men in that helicopter were required to be the rescue attempt on the downed helicopter. There’s that pain of knowing that a brother was so close to the death of his younger brother.”

The title of this post may be funny, why, does somebody else says that muslim not allowed to sing?

This blog not about muslim or Islam, but when someone ask me about this in one of internet forum, it hit me.

Why someone else saying that singing is not allowed in Islam? They also bring a few hadiths to prove it.

After a few questions and search in google, I found out that there are muslim that believe that singing is not allowed, but there are others who believe that singing is allowed.

This is a good reading about singing in Islam, specially the last one about the word ‘Haram’.

We do have differences in Islam, just like Syah and Sunni, Muhammadiyah and NU. But after all, we all Muslim, we all brothers.

This morning I saw the entertainment news that Indonesia Group Band Samson, releasing a new video clip called “For You”.

The song “For You” based on the entertainment news, is dedicated for Indonesian Forces that will be going on peace mission to Libanon. Where parents of the soldiers, Including The Indonesian President (one of the soldier is son of Indonesian President) say goodbye to the soldiers.

This should be a very good Video Clip.

In the entertainment news, The Samson repeatedly say that we should be proud to be Indonesian.

I agree. Totally agree.

We should be proud to be Indonesian.

In 2002, The Indonesian Band “Cokelat” already released a stunning song called Bendera. The song becoming a very big hits, and now it being sang again by the 2007 Indonesian Idol.

This is the best commercial break ever.

Rather than commercial break from Fiesta Condom, that suggest free sex is OK as long as you use protection. The Fiesta Condom commercial break is targeting for teenager because it show more frequently in MTV Indonesia (Global TV).

Laurier make a step further, just don’t do it.

The statistic for free sex in youth in Indonesia is shocking. That up to 30% of teenager in Indonesia is already doing free sex (hanyawanita.com).

Laurier also make a road show to give teenager more education about this. This is one of report of the show from Bandung.

Di temukan lagu Indonesia Raya versi “Asli”.

Lalu apakah yang kita dengarkan selama ini, waktu kita upacara, waktu ada acara kenegaraan dan lain-lain adalah lagu Indonesia Raya versi “Palsu”?

Menurut saya semuanya asli, hanya saja yang versi “Asli” lebih menjadi propaganda jepang dari pada lagu kebangsaan kita.

Bahkan menurut pakar sejarah (dari detik.com) , lagu Indonesia Raya ini bukanlah versi “Asli”, karena dalam versi asli tidak mungkin ada kata Merdeka, karena kata merdeka di larang oleh penjajah Jepang.

Yang lebih mengejutkan bagi saya adalah, lagu Indonesia Raya ini sudah ada di youtube sejak 19 Desember 2006.

Lalu, apakah yang di temukan oleh Roy Suryo, pakar telematika kita?

Ataukah Roy Suryo hanya mengaku-ngaku menemukannya, padahal lagu ini sudah di “temukan” jaug har sebelumnya?

Bingung kan?

Bagi penggemar serial TV barat, selamat bergembira karena mulai 6 Agustus 2007 TransTV akan menanyangkan serial tv yang paling di gemari di amerika yaitu HEROES.

Serial TV Heroes adalah produksi NBC yang menceritakan tentang beberapa orang yang memiliki kemampuan superhuman, dan dipercaya di tugaskan untuk menyelamatkan dunia dari kehancuran.

Bila di lihat sepintas, tidak jauh berbeda dengan X-Men, dimana sekelompok orang memiliki kemampuan superhuman.

Sayang sekali, TransTv akan menanyangkan Heroes pada jam 6 sore setiap hari senin-kamis. Karena akan banyak penggemar yang tidak sempat untuk melihat Heroes, apalagi buat mereka yang bekerja, karena jam 6 sore biasanya mereka masih terjebak kemacetan di jalan raya.

Ada baiknya buat TransTV untuk merubah jam tayang, misal ke jam 7 malam atau jam 8 malam.

Tapi salut untuk TransTV, yang memberikan tontonan alternative baru, terutama yang sudah bosan dengan sinetron lokal kita.
