Being an atheist is sucks. Whoever says that being an atheist is cool they must be a liar.

Why being an atheist is sucks?

I have the list, the 10 reasons why being an atheist is sucks. I can easily make it a 100 reasons, but then it will a very very long list. But, yes being an atheist is sucks.

So, waiting no more, this is the list in random order

1. Miss all the fun to go to churches, mosques, synagogues etc.
Yes, going to churches, mosques, synagogues etc are fun. Usually we go with the whole family. We can meet friends, neighbors, talks and let our kids plays with other kids. It’s like a picnic.

2. When they alone, afraid and sad, they have nowhere to go to.
For peole who believe in God, they simply take a prayer for help and comfort.

3. Miss all the fun in Christmas, Eid ul-fitr (idul fitr), and many other holly days.
Christmas is fun. They have Christmas tree, Santa Claus and plenty of gifts. The whole family come together, form grandfather grand children. It’s fun. So is other holly days for other religions, they all fun.

4. When they hope, to who they hope to?
If I say, I hope that everything is Ok, it’s actually a simple pray to God. I hope that God will make everything is Ok. Now, if you are an atheist, to who you hope to? Because you don’t believes in God.

5. When believers pray, atheist only do nothing and confuse.
A prayer make our heart and mind more relax and calm. In other way, a prayer is easy and cheap way to relax and calm us down and we can do it anywhere, in a bus, airplane, train, anywhere and anytime. Now, what an atheist do to calm them down? Massage or Yoga?

6. They logic and sciences can’t explain anything.
Atheist people are so proud for their logic and sciences. They deny the existence of God because their logic and sciences can’t understand nor prove it. But there are so many things that their logic and sciences can’t explain, like ESP and many paranormal activities.

7. They wedding ceremony simply sucks, no priest nothing.
What the beauty of weeding ceremony if there is no priest, imam or rabbi to bless the wed?

8. When you die, you die why everyone else go to heaven.
Atheist people believes that when they die, then they simply die and become nothing. There is no heaven for them. Isn’t that sucks. Believers believe that if they do good deeds then they will go to heaven, and they will continue their life in heaven.

9. You have no supernatural friends like angels.
Most believers believes that we all have invisible guardians or angels, that will look after us, specially when for young children. Some people believes that young children can see angels and play with them.

10. In United State’s law, atheist people can’t testify in court.
Why, because the court can’t trust people who do not believe in God. That totally sucks.

That the first 10 reasons I ca think of. They are so many more reasons why being atheist sucks. But I think 10 is more than enough.

We are shocked for what happened in Mumbay, India. Terrorist attack stormed the city, more than one hundred innocent people died and injured many others. This is just another terrorist brutal attack, proved that we all should join together to stop all kind of terrorist attacks.

The attacked happen in many places in the city almost at the same time, making the police scramble in confusions. The authority of India proclaim that this attack is well funded and well organized, and accused that some foreign country involved in the attack.

The terrorist able to held hostages in the Taj Mahal hotel, their last stand. Police and military surrounded the hotel where fires, gun shots and explosions heard many times inside the hotel.

After several days, the drama is over. Police and military of India able to end the attack, killed many terrorists, but the damages already done. More than one hundred innocent peoples died, injured many others. The trauma of the attack will be remembered years from now. Maybe will be remembered forever.

I hope the authority able to find whoever responsible to this terrorist attack and give them the punishment that they deserve.

I hope that they, us can survive this barbaric attack and someday we ca live together in harmony despite of our differences.

I hope that someday, we can grew up and realizes that our differences is not our weakness, instead it will make us stronger.

I just saw this movie with title Taxi to the dark side last night, and it really shocked me. This movie talk about how the us military torture the suspected terrorist go beyond the geneva confensions. They use animals, water boarding, humiliations to get the information they want from the suspected terrorist, didn’t really care if the information is correct or not.

If you think that the torture in bagram airbase, abu ghraib, and guantanamo bay was random? No. The tortures are well designed by the military intelligent and the CIA. One of the purpose of the torture is to break their faith in islam.

George W Bush should be put on trial as a war criminal.

Because his administration allowed this kind of tortures.

He should be on trial on international court, not in the US, because he gave pardon to him self for all the crime that he committed after 9/11 and how he and his gangs can walk away with this war crimes.

Army Maj. General Antonio Taguba (Ret.) writes that “there is no longer any doubt as to whether the current administration has committed war crimes. The only question that remains to be answered is whether those who ordered the use of torture will be held to account.”

This is a good movie, but somehow it not distributed well, and I wonder why?

In June 2007, the Discovery Channel bought the rights to broadcast Taxi to the Dark Side. However, in February 2008, they made public their intention never to broadcast the documentary due to its controversial nature

If you not yet see this movie… You must see this movie, because this is a good movie.

Let hope that the new government better then bush.

Inilah kali pertama saya membaca buku Laskar Pelangi, mungkin yang lain sudah membaca buku ini berulang kali, bahkan mungkin sudah menonton filmnya. Bagi saya, inilah kali pertama.

Terus terang saya hanya menggangap Laskar Pelangi hanyalah buku biasa yang tidak ada apa-apanya. Hanya buku tentang seseorang yang terobsesi dengan masa kecilnya. Bukan cuma sekali, ketika sebuah buku di gembar-gemborkan sangat bagus oleh orang banyak, tetapi bagi saya tidak lebih dari sebuah roman picisan.

Tapi lama-lama saya penasaran juga dengan buku Laskar Pelangi ini, apalagi filmnya mendapatkan sambutan yang sangat bagus. Akhirnya saya memutuskan untuk membacanya. Yang pasti, buku Laskar Pelangi bukanlah sebuah buku percintaan yang membosankan.

Sengaja saya menyediakan waktu khusus untuk membaca buku ini, bahkan saya sudah mempersiapkan lagu-lagu dari soundtrack laskar pelangi untuk menemani saya membaca buku ini. Ada kesan tersendiri ketika membaca bab pertama “Sepuluh murid baru” sambil di iringi lagu “Sahabat” dari group musik Netral.

Terus terang buku ini sangat berkesan bagi saya, mungkin karena saya juga pernah tinggal di pulau Bangka ketika saya kecil, tepatnya di kota Pangkal Pinang. Saya tinggal di Pangkal pinang hanya sampai saya berumur 5 tahun, sehingga saya amat ingin bisa memahami keadaan disana.

Membaca buku Laskar Pelangi seakan-akan kita tidak bisa berhenti membaca. Cara bertutur Andrea Hirata sangat berkesan, agak berbeda dari penulis lainnya. Buku ini membuat kita selalu ingin melanjutkan ke halaman selanjutnya. Inilah salah satu buku yang membuat saya tidak bisa berhenti membaca, buku terakhir yang membuat saya tidak bisa berhenti membaca adalah ketika saya membaca buku karangan Agatha Christie, dan itu sudah betahun-tahun yang lalu.

Mungkin inilah satu-satunya buku lokal yang patut dibaca, bukan hanya oleh orang dewasa, tapi oleh semua kalangan. Sayang anak-anak saya masih belum bisa di ajak nonton Laskar Pelangi karena usianya masih 3 dan 4 tahun. Semoga saja filmnya sebagus novelnya.

Rakyat yang sudah susah akan menjadi semakin susah lagi. Bila sebelumnya kita dibuat lega karena harga BBM akan di turunkan mengikuti harga BBM international, sekarang kita di kejutkan karena bunga KPR akan di naikan dari 10% menjadi sekitar 15%.

Yang paling mengejutkan adalah BTN, bank yang resmi di bentuk dan di tunjuk oleh negara untuk membantu rakyat dalam soal KPR, ikut-ikutan menaikan bunga menjad 15% baik untuk nasabah lama dan baru.

Bila begitu, apa bedanya BTN dengan bank-bank lain? Buat apa ada BTN bila bunga yang ada sama dengan bunga bank lain. Atau mungkin sebaiknya BTN di bubarkan saja?

Tampaknya sudah ada ada lagi yang perduli kepada rakyat, yang mereka perdulikan adalah bagaimana mengambil keuntungan sebesar-besarnya disaat yang sempit seperti sekarang ini.

Seorang teman sekarang gundah, apakah harus mengambil rumah sekarang atau nanti. Bila sekarang dengan bunga yang mencekik leher, bila nanti belum tentu juga bunga akan turun dan yang pasti harga rumah akan naik.

Atau mungkin tetap tinggal di kontrakan atau tetap tinggal dengan mertua?

Duh, apalagi yang akan terjadi nanti?

Sekarang perceraian adalah hal yang lumrah. Ketika saya masih anak-anak perceraian adalah hal yang tabu. Sangat sedikit pasangan suami istri yang bercerai, mereka biasanya mengusahakan segala upaya agar pernikahan mereka tetap utuh. Mungkin bukan hanya untuk mereka, tetapi juga untuk anak-anak mereka.

Tapi sekarang sudah berubah, jaman sudah berubah. Hal yang dulu tabu dilakukan sekarang sudah umum dilakukan. Pernikahan bukan lagi hal yang suci, pernikahan sudah menjadi semacam permainan belaka.
Sekarang sangat mudah untuk bercerai, berbagai macam alasan bisa dicari untuk menghalalkan perceraian, bahkan mungkin alasan yang tidak pernah terpikirkan sebelumnya.

Seorang wanita menceraikan suaminya hanya karena alasan harta. Ketika suaminya kaya dan berkuasa sang wanita setia bersamanya. Tetapi ketika sang suami jatuh miskin dan tidak berkuasa lagi, maka dengan tidak malu-malu sang wanita meminta cerai, dengan alasan yang sangat egois, sang suami sudah tidak mampu lagi memberinya nafkah lahir.

Jadi sebenarnya sang wanita menikah dengan harta dan kekuasaan sang suami, bukan dengan suaminya sendiri.

Lalu dimanakah ikrar yang di agung-agungkan pada saat pernikahan?
Sampai ajal memisahkan kita?

Atau mungkin kita perlu menciptakan ikrar pernikahan baru, selama kamu kaya dan berkuasa?

Sungguh menyedihkan.

Bagaimana dengan laki-laki?

Sudah banyak contoh lelaki yang menceraikan sang istri karena wanita yang lebih muda dan lebih cantik. Sang lelaki rela untuk menceraikan sang istri yang sudah dengan setia menemani hidupnya, mendidik anak-anaknya selama bertahun-tahun bahkan puluhan tahun hanya karena wanita yang lebih muda dan lebih cantik.

Dunia ini semakin lama semakin membingungkan, tidak heran bila sebagian orang menganggap berbagai bencana alam yang ada belkangan ini adalah hukuman Tuhan untuk kita.

Ada saatnya nanti kita semua akan di adili akan perbuatan kita di dunia, dan kita tidak akan dapat menghindar atau menunda dari hukuman yang sudah menanti kita.

Why you did not pick up my call?

Somebody yelling at me, he is angry because I did not pick up his phone call to my mobile phone.

What the …?

Why he become angry because I did not pick up his call? Yes, I know that someone calling me, my phone is ringing correctly and I can see his name diplayed in my phone.

So? Did I HAVE to pickup his call?

This is my phone, I can do what ever I want with it. I can pick up the call IF I WANT TO, and I can reject the call IF I WANT TO. I can throw it into a toilet IF I WANT TO, or hit it with a sledge hammer IF I WANT TO. It’s MY PHONE!

I do not have any obligation to pick up every call to my phone. There is nothing in the phone operator agreement that I should pick up every call.

It’s up to me to pick up the call or not. Why they become so angry about?

If I called someone and they didn’t pick up the phone, I usually sent them a short text message why I want to call them. If they still do not return the call, it’s their phone and it’s their choice, I realize that. Maybe they are too busy to return the call or simply because my call it’s not important to them.

But some people just don’t understand.
